Raul Castro attends July 26 Cultural Gala

HAVANA, Cuba, July 25 (acn) President Raul Castro attends the cultural gala
held in Santiago de Cuba to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1953
attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons.
The Gala is also being attended by first-vice president Miguel Diaz Canel
and vice-president Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, who is also second secretary
of Cuba’s Communist Party, along with leaders from countries of the
region, veterans of the historic July 26 action and the people of Santiago.
High on the gala agenda was the music tune Elegy, specially composed for the
occasion by Cuban maestro Leo Brouwer.
